TRON opening day ad

I meant to post this last Friday! Went and saw the new TRON and I'll say this much. TRON will give us nerds plenty to argue about over the holidays and that is gift unto itself! I lift my vintage TRON cup from Burger King and offer a toast to all who kept the TRON-FIRES burning all of these years!

TRON review from 82!

This is a review I clipped from the Dayton Daily News from July 9th, 1982. Looking at that picture of Hal Lipper makes me think he should have LOVED TRON but I guess not so much.I remember this review making me pretty angry as a 13 year old film-goer. We now know TRON is a NERD CLASSIC!

Good Grief! A letter from Charles Schulz!

When you write a letter
To the creator of a world
That means the world to you
You don't expect a response

But when the man who gave the world Snoopy
Takes the time to respond to a letter
From a 10 year old little boy from Ohio
It makes his backyard seem
Like the most sincere pumpkin patch
In all of the world

Biblical Timeline

Here's your favorite Bible dudes from the Old Testament done in a wacky Don Martin style just in time for Hanukkah! I drew this for a Sunday School project when I was 13.

TRON SUNDAY FUNNIES PT.2 !!!

I've noticed a 5/2 at the bottom of the last panel which makes me think these strips might have pre-dated the July release of the film. Talk about spoiler alerts! However, based on these comics, I doubt it ruined anything. One doesn't really watch TRON for the storyline. It's all about the digital revolution, baby, none of what was on display here.

TRON SUNDAY FUNNIES!

I'm so glad I found these in my old scrapbook because I thought I'd dreamed them up! I guess Disney would serialize whatever movie they had in theaters as a Sunday strip. I couldn't find any evidence of them on-line recently so this could be very well be the first appearance of these comics on the internet! Praise the users!

Jeff Seasholtz GAGS! (circa 1981)

Here are some gag cartoons I did when I was around 12 years old. I got my first "official" MAD magazine when I turned 11. As you see by these cartoons, it had already warped my prepubescent mind. These are pretty edgy considering how young I was especially the last two. Nuclear power plants explain Popeye's mutations and what red-blooded American boy didn't take pleasure sticking it to the Ayatollah in the 80's?
